John trained at RADA followed by Repertory, including Coventry and Liverpool, and the usual long stint on tour. He is perhaps best known to television viewers as the intellectual ìGunner Grahamî in the BBCís comedy series IT AINíT HALF HOT MUM. His links with the Far East started with his birth at Murree in the Punjab, and have continued ever since|his one-man show of Kiplingís Indian writing IN THE EYE OF THE SUN won glowing praise from the critics, capacity audiences and a Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Festival before transferring to the Gate Theatre, London. An extremely successful national tour with television coverage ensued.
